DESCRIPTION:CALL FOR PARTICIPATION\n\n15th Privacy Enhancing Techniques Con
 vention: PET-CON 2026.1 April 16-17, 2026, Karlsruhe Institute for Technolo
 gy (KIT/KASTEL)\n\n We invite you to attend PET-CON 2026.1 – the 15th conve
 ntion on Privacy-Enhancing Technologies, in Karlsruhe. PET-CON brings toget
 her students (B.Sc., M.Sc., PhD), junior researchers, privacy activists, an
 d other interested people to discuss work in progress. PET-CON is organized
  by the PET special interest group of the German Informatics Society (GI). 
 Previous PET-CONs took place at University of Salzburg, University of Hambu
 rg, University of Regensburg, TU Darmstadt, RWTH Aachen, Goethe University 
 Frankfurt, University of Göttingen, TU Berlin, and TU Dresden.\n\nPET-CON i
 s an explicitly informal gathering with the prime focus on fostering networ
 king within the community, and it welcomes various forms of contributions. 
 The main workshop features short contributed talks (10-15 minutes) followed
  by extensive feedback and discussions (up to 45 minutes). For instance, st
 udents can present planned, ongoing, and recently finished theses and paper
  projects to receive feedback. We also accept presentations of papers that 
 have already been published elsewhere. Alternatively, you can also attend t
 he convention without giving a talk at all and simply participate in the di
 scussions. We will organize a poster session upon request, feel free to let
  us know if you'd like to present one.\n\n TOPICS OF INTEREST\n\n 	Privacy 
 Enhancing Technologies 	Privacy Engineering 	Inter- and Transdisciplinary P
 erspectives to Privacy (e.g., techno-legal, techno-economic, ...) \n\nIn th
 e past, there have been presentations on anonymous communicationn, statisti
 cal disclosure control and differential privacy, abuse detection and protec
 tion of PETs, anonymous routing, application layer privacy, big data and da
 ta protection, economics of PETs, end-user education and training for PETs,
  HCI issues and usability of PETs, intrusion detection while respecting pri
 vacy, location privacy, metrics for quality of protection by the PETs, perf
 ormance measurement/benchmarking and optimization, privacy engineering, pri
 vacy for mobile networks and smartphone applications, privacy in IoT enviro
 nments, related legal issues (data protection), transparency-enhancing tech
 nologies, etc.\n\n\n\nDATES AND TIMES\n\nWorkshop: April 16-17, 2026\n\nThe
  workshop begins on Thursday, April 16 at 1:30 pm and concludes on Friday, 
 April 17 at 2:00 pm. Lunch is scheduled on both days at 12:00 pm, and there
  will be a group dinner on Thursday evening. Please note that all meals are
  self-paid.\n\nLunch will be arranged locally (e.g., at a canteen) and will
  offer vegan, vegetarian, and non-vegetarian options. Further details, incl
 uding the restaurant for dinner, will be shared closer to the event.\n\n RE
