Doxing — the malicious disclosure of personal information on the internet — is a growing global threat that intersects with online extremism, privacy invasion, and digital activism. Doxers target individuals both privately and professionally for their viewpoints and beliefs, aiming to influence sociopolitical discourse. This talk will provide an overview of the mechanisms of doxing, explore its profound effects on victims (doxees), and discuss how organizations and societies need to address this pervasive issue.
